Sunday, Sunday Sunday!

Your friendly, neighborhood wedding enthusiast will be here:

For this.

I am so excited! Milwaukee's Magnificent Bride show is one of my favorite things. "What is it?", you ask. Well, it's Milwaukee's premier bridal event. Some of the wedding industry's heavy hitters will be there including my personal favorites, Broadway Paper, Paper Envy and Front Room Photography. Our jeweler, David Liska will be there as well (he designed and created my wedding band and my bridal jewelry). It will be so fun to see all the people that helped our special day be so much more...well...special.

While my philosophy is not to tell my brides what they "must" or "mustn't" do with their weddings, I do think this event is a must. I learned more about weddings in that one day than I had my entire life. I got a glimpse of what our wedding could be, what I wanted it to be. More importantly, I learned just as much, if not more about what I didn't want our wedding to be. I think every bride {with budgets big and small} can take something away from the experience.

To make everything even better, I will be attending with my friend, bride and Milwaukee artist, Kate Funk. We love Kate Funk. She is the genius behind the greeting card line with the same name AND founder of her own production company, Lucky 13 Productions.

I hope to get some great pictures and some even better inspiration-y ideas. I can't wait to tell you all about it.

New Found Glory: Tablevogue

Problem: You have a utility table sitting in storage. You bust it out when you are hosting an event that requires a little extra space. No matter how you try, you can never get it to look quite right and no tablecloth on this earth will fit.

Solution: Tablevogue! This unique new product comes to us from Florida and is the answer to our party prayers. The smart box pleats cut out the pinning, cutting, and sewing but leaves you with all the fab you can stand. Say goodbye at long last to table skirts {yay}!

Seriously, the possibilities for this thing are endless! Turn your drab little table into chic dining, bar, gift and sweets tables!

Entertaining outside? The brilliant floor length design is perfect for concealing extra supplies.

The best part?! Let's see...The modest price tag (only $39.99 for 34" and $49.99 for the 6' size) affords couture style at discount store prices. It's available in three standard sizes (34", 6' and 8') and comes in natural and white with more colors in the works.

I love this shot. A chic little patio party at a fraction of the cost. I die!

Check out the website for all the details. They're also on Facebook.

The Color of Love

I don't know if it's the dreary-ness here in Brewtown or my nearly constant thoughts of spring, but I am in LOVE with the colored wedding dresses sweeping the runways this season. Here are a few of my favorites...so far:

Love, love LOVE this! Don't you? This little stunner from one of my personal faves, Reem Acra, is a beautiful blue silk faced organza with silk-screened gold detail. I'm a big fan of the ball gown silhouette and I love the simple strapless design.

Dreamlike beauty at its finest! Can you imagine floating down the aisle in this?! Meet the Didi dress from bridalware icon, Vera Wang. This natural waist, a line dress is shown in Citrus Watercolor (delicious!), but is also available in ivory. I. Want. This. Dress.

Lastly {for now, anyway}, I give you Poeme, by Christos. This lovely dress is shown in a color called simply Oyster. I love it. It's not ivory but it isn't taupe either. It seems to be the best of both worlds. Get a load of that detail! The cascading floral petal design....perfection.

My head is reeling with design ideas....I feel some inspiration boards coming on!

A Great Opportunity

Hello lovelies!

I just wanted to put you wise to a GREAT event that Paper Source is having. As you know, I love Paper Source. Like, LOVE love them. A couple days ago, I mentioned their new 2010 Wedding Collection. Loved it.

They are hosting a learning event for...well, just look at this!

That guest book is so delicious!

Now listen, these are the perfect types of things to attend if you are having a DIY wedding, but need a little help generating ideas. It's a good thing to attend if you want to push your already fantastic ideas to the next level. In general, a workshop like this is a great idea. The things you will learn will be invaluable when planning your wedding. If you want to add personal touches to your wedding without adding a ton of money to the budget, this is a great way to do it. Learn from the pros, let them get you started and then take the knowledge home and tweak it until you come up with something unique and beautiful for your special day!

Ooh, another tip. Take notes. Usually, so much info will be tossed at you that if you don't write it down, it will be harder to process later.

So, round up your friends and have a ball!

All Press Is Good Press!

Good morning, my little cupcakes! I hope you are staying warm in the frigid-ness that is this morning.

Some great news! Our friends at Kate Funk (also of Lucky 13 Productions) and Cracked Designs are featured in this article about handmade valentines. Love it. Love. It.

Yay Milwaukee!

I Love Envelopments!

Oh. My. Blog. I cannot believe this is happening.

What I wouldn't have done to have this when I was planning my wedding. Rather than cart around my loose paper, I could've had this! I could've been a contender! (Well, okay, maybe not a contender per se, but I'm still really excited!)
It's the Mini Deck! And Jigster! Take a look!

I die! I swoon! I can't believe I don't have one!

From the Envelopments website:

Why work harder, when you can work smarter? We’ve created tools to streamline the design and production processes. Whether you’re designing it yourself, or having it done for you we’ve got the perfect solution for personalized communiqués.
With over 200 options, the Envelopments Mini Deck enables you to find the perfect match to your bridemaid’s dress, your company logo, or any project. Take advantage of the $20 Rebate promotion by placing your order with your nearest Envelopments Dealer/Designer. For a more hands-on approach, we’ve developed the Envelopments Jigster. Assemble your custom invitations by mounting layers of Envelopments card stocks and papers consistently, accurately and quickly.

And at only $20 for the Mini Deck and $69.95 for the Jigster, what could be wrong! I totally recommend you scoop yours up today! Unless I beat you to it. For me this, couldn't have come at a better time (I'm almost out of Pearl paper and I have, literally no cardstock! What kind of party planner am I?! No cardstock....absurd)!

You really must follow them on
Twitter, check out their website, and read their totally cute (and helpful!) blog. Trust me on this. How else will you know what's going on with this fabulous company?!

Wow. That was a lot of information to digest in 30 seconds. But seriously. I had to tell you.

A Taste of Love...

Here's a little taste of the 'Lovebirds' themed event I designed. I am finishing up the decorations tonight and tomorrow and the install is Saturday am. I am so excited, I think this little, casual event will be a memorable one!

Don't you just LOVE it?! I die! And, just in case you are wondering, this is the work of Miss Allison Beilke. Check out her ridiculously cute blog, here. More pictures to come as the event gets closer.

Where in the World is Erin San Diego?

Does it work? No? Ah, well....today is not my best "catchy title" day. Anywhoo....

Oh, my little cupcakes, I'm so sorry I've been away so long. I've absolutely been up to my EARS with work! The 9 to 5 has been a whirlwind, I'm back at job #2, I've been designing an event and I'm working on a few other things (to remain hush hush for now...). But as the dust is starting to settle I have ways to make it up to you...including a dynamite (if I do say so myself) mood board, how to's and some pictures from my last two events!

The fun starts tonight!

Thank you for being so patient!
